SSC Tier 1 Exam: Working Preparation Tricks for SSC

SSC Tier 1 exam is an exam designed especially for government jobs available in Indian Government. These jobs are pretty secured and provide many benefits. Therefore candidates are very passionate about clearing these examinations which are conducted every year. Staff Selection Commission is an organization which conducts tests or exams for the Government jobs available in India for posts in the nontechnical departments of the Indian government as this is most important ever to a number of people who are well known.

Pattern of Exam

These examinations are held yearly, candidates prepare through a lot of techniques, SSC Tier 1 examinations is of the duration of 60 minutes. Therefore, it is essential to solving swiftly as well as accurately since it is challenging to complete the test of 200 marks in a small period of 60 minutes. These examinations are held online as they are computer-based, yearly in different tiers at different times with proper time allotment provided through regular notices. There is a need to practice and study four subjects for SSC TIER 1 Examinations.

These subjects are General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English language. These four subjects are the vital subjects to check the skills and flair of the candidate as per the requirement of the jobs for which they are being recruited. Each subject carries a wholesome weight of 50 marks each. The 200 marks are divided equally among the four subjects to test each section fairly. Each subject has 25 questions where every question carries two marks for correct answers and half a mark is deducted for every wrong answer In this exam sectional cut off is not considered.

Preparation and Tips

There are four sections to the test in which for the general reasoning section, practice is the most important. These questions are challenging for the human brain to solve but practice helps one to develop the skill to find out their own to tricks to find solutions to the problems or questions asked in the examinations. Tricks certainly help as the time period is very less to spend time thinking much over the questions.

Puzzles and analogy can be very helpful. General Awareness is more of general knowledge as well as current affairs. It can be helpful to gain a good score and can be done quickly hence helps to give more time to sections that require it Making notes is very helpful too. Quantitative Aptitude is considered tough as it involves calculation, hence taking up your time Maximum types of questions should be solved from basic areas of mathematics to predict solutions faster. The English language is a section of the paper which can also be a section where you can save time for other sections. It requires you to prepare vocabulary and grammar well enough to gain confidence to pick up a score.
