Introduction: As the abbreviation, UP is very well known as Uttar Pradesh state in India. UP-TET is an examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board. Also well known as (UPBEB). This examination is conducted for the purpose of recruitment of Teachers for Primary, Upper Primary, and Assistant Teachers level.
In particular numerous vacancies get announced every year of UP Assistant Teacher by Uttar Pradesh Assistant teacher recruitment notification and only UP-TET and CTET passed candidates can apply for the same. Candidates appearing for this exam needs to be well informed about the latest updates and news about the exam, like data of exam, filling up of admission form, knowing the syllabus, understanding the pattern of exam, knowing exact age limit, eligibility, getting the admit card done and keeping oneself well aware of tips for studying and preparation of exam. This exam is conducted once a year, during 2018 it was conducted on 12th of March 2018. Advertisement of next year UPTET exam conducted in 2019 would be published in the month of January 2019.
The Pattern of UP Shikshak Bharti Pariksha
Pattern of the exam depends on the level of the exam. For example, for Assistant Teachers level pattern of exam is such that there are 10 subjects like language which would comprise of Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. Marks allotted to this subject would be 40 and there would be 40 questions to be attempted. Science would have 10 marks with 10 questions to be attempted; Mathematics would have 20 marks with 20 marks to be attempted.
Environment and social studies will carry the weight of 10 marks for 10 questions. Teaching skills are also examined with 10 questions allotted with 10 marks. Since it is important to understand child psychology, one paper on child psychology is also to be attempted with 10 marks with 10 questions. In the present world of Information Technology, it becomes imperative to know skills in Information Technology and therefore 5 marks are allotted for 5 questions to it Current affairs carry 30 marks for 30 questions, while life skill Management 8 Aptitude has 10 questions of 10 marks and lastly reasoning aptitude is also checked with 5 questions of 5 marks. In total 150 marks are allotted for 150 questions.
UPTET Exam pattern for Primary Level (Paper1)
There are five subjects covered in the Exam pattern for UPTET Primary Level, Child Development Pedagogy, Mathematics, Language 1 8 2 paper, and Environmental studies. Each subject has 30 questions and each subject has 30 marks allotted to it. Total 150 questions consisting of 150 marks are required to be attempted with the time allotment of 150 minutes.
UP Exam pattern for Upper Primary Level (Paper2)
In this exam, there are four subjects which consist of Child development and pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Science and Mathematics or Social science each of 30 questions with 30 marks allotted to each. Total of 150 questions allotted with 150 marks.
Tips to Crack UPTET Exam
Since one has to finish the exam within the allotted time, it is important to manage time and maintain speed and accuracy while attempting the exam. One should not devote too much time to a single question, important guidelines include one should not be in the hurry since there is no negative marking, one should try and attempt all the questions without hesitation. One should keep a calm mind while attempting.
